Cassper Nyovest has spoken out over the death of South African boxer Simiso Buthelezi. This follows the boxer’s death, which occurred after he was hospitalized following a tense battle.
Buthelezi faced Siphesihle Mntungwa for the WBF African lightweight title in Durban’s Greyville Convention Centre on Sunday.
Cassper Nyovest wrote: “RIP to Simiso Buthelezi. It takes a true warrior to get in the ring and entertain people through fistic art. May God be with your soul and heal your family. #SimisoButhelezi.

Cassper’s love for the sport of boxing has been widely applauded when he competed in boxing contests with Slik Talk and Naak Musiq.
He’s also been a vocal supporter of local boxing, which inspired the concept of celebrity boxing.
