Kwa-Zulu Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala has filed a criminal complaint against Ngizwe Mchunu at the Durban Central Police Station, alleging assault and criminal injuria.
Mchunu is said to have been the first to file an assault charge against Zikalala.
Following a tense weekend encounter, the Office of the Premier in KwaZulu-Natal stated on Monday that it will exhaust all legal measures against former Ukhozi FM broadcaster Ngizwe Mchunu.
During the Ingoma KaZwelonke Competition at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, Zikalala is said to have come close to exchanging blows with Mchunu.

Mchunu had allegedly continuously thrown insults at the premier, according to the premier’s spokesperson, without justification or provocation.
