Two days ago, Formula 1’s official Instagram page reposted a video of Anele Mdoda‘s son Alakhe chatting to F1 driver Danny Ricciardo about the 2016 incident where he was called in too early while his tyres were not ready.
Ricciardo responded and said, “that was a dark day.”
This was just ahead of Alakhe’s appearance on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah where Grammy-award-winning artist Burna Boy was also a guest.
The video is sitting on over 5 million views.
Anele Mdoda, who’s currently in the US with Alakhe says Black Americans, especially the men have been showing her son love.
“The most amazing affirmations. “I see you little man”, “Look at you walking tall, you keep that up” “We see you Mbappe” “ Look at you King” I love it. Everywhere they take time to just show love,” she posted.
