Popular South African DJ Uncle Waffles slams rumours that she’s transgender. This after social media posts of the DJ in school were circulated claiming that Uncle Waffles was in fact born a boy.
Uncle Waffles was asked to prove her sexuality, when a follower asked her why the name Uncle Waffles instead of Aunty?
The 22-year did not take lightly to the comments and responded, “Who are you to even ask this? Why aren’t you focusing on your own life, instead of coming to ask 22-year old girls about their private parts on the internet like a loser?” Is that not weird to you? That you are on a stranger’s social media asking them to prove their sex to you. Who are you nje?”
Taking to her Instagram stories, Uncle waffles said, people are too used to public figures having to keep quiet and be the bigger person.
“That’s considered some sort of maturity and that’s made people on social media get away with being s**t individuals. Where do you even get the audacity to say things like this?”

Responding to the tweet from the user, which has since been deleted, Uncle Waffles asked, “What do these pictures prove? Instead you’re trying to bring down people who have nothing to do with this. I now have to prove my gender based off of my physique and based off of a rumour?”
Slamming the rumours she’s transgender, Uncle Waffles said, “I’m a proud ally of the trans community, always have been.”
The DJ has just hit 1 million followers on Instagram and has received shoutouts from Drake on her social media.
