Are you vengeful? Are you petty? Andy Maqondwana wants to hear about the time you sought revenge against a friend, partner, family member, or ex.
Kholo shares, “I haven’t done anything as yet, kodwa i am planning to do something very soon and it’s not going to be nice.”
Leigh wants to get back at someone but doesn’t know-how. “Mina I haven’t done anything as yet but that’s not to say I don’t want to. I want to get back at my children’s daddy so bad I wish I knew how.”
Daniele on the other hand is not a fan of getting revenge as she believes karma is “the best revenge.”
Is revenge worth it?
Best-selling author and founder of the Science of People Vanessa Van Edwards says revenge does the opposite of bringing emotional satisfaction.
“One might think that exerting revenge is a form of emotional release, that it’s a way to feel better in getting closure after a wrong but in fact has the opposite effect.
“Even though the first few moments feel rewarding, psychological scientists have found that instead of quenching hostility revenge prolongs the unpleasantness of the original offense. And instead of delivering justice, it only creates a cycle of retaliation,” she explains.
