One thing about dead beats is they have audacity!
In a now-deleted post, South African actor Dumisani Dlamini has yet again thanked fans for supporting his estranged daughter, Doja Cat- real name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini on her Grammy win.
“Just wanted to thank everyone who supported my child Zandile god bless you all”, he shared.
This past Sunday, 3 April 2022, Doja Cat attended the 64th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony where she won her first Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group performance for her song Kiss Me More with fellow musician SZA.
Best known for his roles in Sarafina and Yizo Yizo, Dumisani also congratulated his daughter on her monumental achievement.
This however, is not Dumisani’s first attempt at seeking attention from his daughter, prior to this he posted picture of the rapper, thanking fans for all their support.
“African princess thank so much for supporting god bless you more”, he posted.
In a resurfaced Interview with Leah Henry and Dj Quicksilva in 2019, Doja revealed that she has never met her father.
“I’ve never met him, and he’s on Instagram, and he comments on my pictures sometimes, maybe not anymore, but he did a few times like months ago”, Doja noted.
Many fans have not only dragged him on social media for being a dead-beat father, but they have also dragged him for seemingly using her name for clout.
In an Instagram post a few days ago, Dumisani shared an event poster in which he was part of the lineup. His name “Dumisani Dlamini” did not appear on the lineup list, instead “Doja Cats Father” was added.
If that’s not clout chasing, then I don’t know!
