You might assume that investing in the stock market requires a lot of money and knowledge, but with today’s investment products, anyone can do it – you don’t need millions, tens of thousands, or even hundreds of rand to get started.
Kaya Biz with Gugulethu Mfuphi spoke to Omega Shange who is a data analyst by profession with 7 years of experience in Finance and Psychology to unpack the exciting new products that exist out there when it comes to investing.
Shange has worked as a portfolio strategist specializing in research and trend forecasting and shared his insights on “Current Global Affairs and the investment opportunities they present”

“There is a big perception within the public that in order to make money you need money, while in fact, what is needed is that you need to start small to build your wealth or your investment portfolio or whichever way it is you need to make money.”
“The misconception persists because socially when we look at people who do invest in the public space we perceived them to be people with money. The other factor is that investing was always an expensive exercise.”
