Television personality and choreographer Bontle Modiselle has been overcome with intense sorrow following the untimely passing of one of her dancers Kesia Jeftha.
She says a wave of disbelief keeps hitting her because she’s in great denial.
“God give us all the strength to see this through, even with all the never-ending questions. What a loss, to your family, your friends, the dance community as a whole to have an all-round incredible soul/spirit like yours not here in the flesh,” she shares.
“If I knew this was our last dance, our last prayers, laughs and our last words, I would have done it all harder, better….anything to make you stay.”
Bontle says they shared plans, ideas, hopes, dreams, struggles, and the things they were dissatisfied with.
She was looking forward to Kesia launching her music/rap career. She says she “honoured every commitment and every person with undeniable love and respect. You honoured your gift and purpose with love and respect.”
Modiselle recently announced the opening of her long-awaited dance studio at Hallmark House Hotel in Maboneng, Johannesburg.
The Bontle Modiselle Dance Studio is set to quickly become the country’s foremost studio – by providing a safe, accepting, and forward-thinking space that aims to cultivate and find new talent in the dance community.
