There is one thing almost everyone has in common, and its food that didn’t sit well with our stomachs.
These were dishes we tried out when we were younger and have stories to tell about how they made us feel afterwards.
Not every meal is for everyone, and some meals are just better left untouched.
Kaya Drive with Sizwe wanted to find out what were some of the foods that Kaya 959 listeners found traummatising when they grew up.
Tinned Fish
Almost every second caller spoke about how they no longer touch tinned food, whether its pilchards, veggitables and even fruit.
One listener said he won’t eat any food from a tin, but will go for alcohol in a can.

Apple Pie
During the show we learned that not everyone loves a delicious freshly baked Apple Pie. One listener shared her terrible experience with the treat.
Tito Mboweni’ s Dishes
One listener joked about how he gets traumatised everytime he sees food made by former Finance Minister Tito Mboweni.
Sizwe spoke about how he occasionally visits him att his home and how part of the reason he cooks the way he does is because he used to be a struggle veteran and he’s cooking style is how they used to cook back in exile.
