Hottest duo in amapiano at the moment, Murumba Pitch hangs out with DJ on the Ultimate Kaya 959 Top 30.
With multiple hits such as ‘S’vuthela iNumber’ the two are living out their dream but are not done yet.
Led by Emmanuel Mathye, the group started of as a band of 12. Due to many disagreements over money, the group split up but Emmanuel didn’t want to give up.
While the group was no more, Emmanuel’s love for music directed him to Makhadzi. He played drums for the South African artist until he met the other half of Murumba Pitch “Ino.”
Innocent “Maeywon” Mongolo from Mpumalanga and his Limpopo counterpart bring RnB and smooth amapiano productions to combine spirited, organic instrumentals with rounded vocal harmonies.
The vocalist-producer and percussionist pair came out with an album in 2020, Last Man Standing.
Releasing the album in November 2020 after months of lockdown was tough.
But the artists were signed by record label DEEDOTKO and didn’t give up.

Emmanuel’s advice to other upcoming artists is to follow their dreams.
“It begins with believing in yourself. Even when it gets hard, don’t give up. Don’t allow anyone to tell you that it’s impossible.”
Drawing inspiration from many South African artists Murumba Pitch says while amapiano has always been there, they have a different take on it.
iPiano started on Jozi streets from 2010, and has since blown up, gaining popularity across the world.
Both Emmanuel and Innocent have similar goals for their group and their future plans include, more live events, pushing more tracks and consistency.
