On Sunday, the 20th of February a number of passengers on board a British Airways flight from East London headed to Johannesburg had a very turbulent flight.
The plane was reportedly forced to do a u-turn after the pilot discovered that the landing gear had malfunctioned.
Over 30 passengers were on board the plane. The fault happened less than 30 minutes after take-off.
Video footage taken by one passenger shows clearly distressed passengers in prayer as the aeroplane wobbles.

@British_Airways was supposed to be boarding from 09:05am from East London to Jhb buy up to now people are still waiting at the airport as they were told of some fault with the flight they were waiting for. No communication after nothing they have to go and ask for themselves.

Quick update; after nearly being off-loaded for “being late” our @British_Airways flight from East London to Jozi had to turn back because of an issue with the landing gear. You can imagine how nerve-wrecking the landing was. I will not be available for interviews for now😎
