Society has come to expect men in relationships to go over and above to make Valentine’s Day special for their significant other. Now should the same standards about the 14th of February apply to women as well?

A social media user says that Valentine’s day has lost its true essence as it has become about women. He calls it women’s day.
Chantie argues that the reason women hardly gift men is that they don’t know what to get them, plus all these Valentine’s Day ads cater to women. “I think the real problem here is we don’t really know what men like in a gift. All these stores cater for women but it’s rare to see a gift box for men that isn’t filled with Nivea products or socks. Do men like flowers? Chocolates? Teddy bears?” She tweeted.
