Rea Gopane will have to cough up R300 000 to Bonang after losing the defamation case she filed against him.
Taking to her social media to share the news, the South African personality said she won.
“Run Me My Money,” Bonang tweeted, “R300K!”
Bonang also insinuated that the podcaster cannot afford the amount and will need to pay her in instalments over 30-years.
“The next 30 years are about to be mad fun for him,” she tweeted.
Bonang initiated the lawsuit against Rea Gopane in May 2021, after he claimed in one of his podcasts, that she introduced her ex-boyfriend AKA to drugs.
Her legal team instructed Gopane to retract the statement, issue a written and video apology to her on social media and to pay Bonang R500 000 for bringing disrepute to her name.
Gopane retracted the statement and issued the apology accordingly but failed to pay the amount.
He often took to his social media to take jabs at Bonang over the case.
In one of his tweets he said, “The incomparable Bonang Matheba is still mad she took a shot and missed last year. Thanks but I don’t need your good luck.”
He now has to swallow his words and will need to pay back every Rand owed because, Bonang will not show him mercy.
Things are only going to get worse for Gopane who is also facing a defamation case against him by South African artist Jazzi Q.
In October last year, Jazzi Q filed a defamation case against the podcaster for his statements that the amapiano artist was to blame for the deaths of Mpura, Killer Kau and three other artists who died in a car crash.
Jazzi Q is demanding R1 million from Gopane.
