South Africa’s Podcast and Chill with MacG has been announced among the Top 3 urban podcasts in the world.
The podcast announced this week that it has been pulling amazing numbers in recent months, outperforming almost all podcasts in the world.
To date, their Youtube channel has had 53,228,724 views on the platform, and trends weekly for both the Monday and Wednesday show uploaded on the platform.
They are almost on 500 000 subscribers and continue to innovate a new digital space that is starting to be popular with many South Africans. This also makes them the biggest podcast in the country.

Ari Lennox puts South African in a red list after Mac G interview
Mukwevho used this week’s episode to address the backlash that came as a result of her interview with American singer Ari Lennox, which had a viral video that made it to the US.
Lennox went as far as saying that she vows to not do interviews after she was asked a question about her sex life by podcaster Mac G.
Controversial shock jock and podcaster Charlamagne tha God on “The Breakfast Club” responded to the video saying the question that Mac G posed was relevant, however in the current climate he should have opted for a different approach.

Podcast and Chill has had different iterations in the delivery of content in the last 3 years.
Their first episode was recorded on an iPad and was released in July of 2018.
They have had over 300 episodes since then and have added new channels to the network, attracting a global fan base that continues to give them support.
