Premier of Gauteng David Makhura has urged South Africans to go and get their second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
The Premier said that a lot of people have not returned to get their second jab of the Pfizer vaccine.
On the morning show, Thomas and Skhumba asked listeners to share why they chose to not go back for the second jab. What’s causing the anxiety?
Listener Reactions
“Was supposed to go for the second jab. I had minor headaches and my arm was a bit painful. I’m not ready,” shared Ntombi.
A caller revealed that she chose not to go back because of the side effects she experienced from the first dose.
“I dropped out. My arm guys. Even a Grandpa was not working. I’m not going for the second jab,” she said.
“My dad decided to be a dropout because the numbers have dropped. He said that he’ll go back when the numbers go up again,” shared another listener.
Not all listeners were negative about the vaccine. Some revealed that they will be going back for their second jab.
“Got my first jab. My second jab is this week. I’m going for the second jab and hopefully, everything will go well,” said an upbeat caller.
Another listener revealed that she experienced no side effects from her first dose.
“Took my jab in September. I had no issues. My second jab is this Wednesday and hopefully, everything will work out perfectly,” she shared.

I went for both my jabs, i was scared on the 1st one. I heard that on 2nd jab chances of getting sick are minimal (i stand to be corrected) i had a slight headache on 1st and nothing on 2nd jab. We love it in the morning with #ThomasandSkhumba
