Seven people have died in a shooting incident in Kagiso, Johannesburg on the West Rand.
According to police a lone gunmen entered a house and allegedly started shooting at the owner, his girlfriend and a neighbour.
The gunmen continued shooting on his way out of the house resulting in 4 more people succumbing to gunshot wounds.
Five other people were injured and taken to hospital after Saturday’s shooting in Tshepisong, Kagiso.
Based on eyewitness accounts, police are searching for one suspect.
Meanwhile residents don’t feel safe and are calling for a stronger police presence. The shooting is said to have occurred during a wedding that was taking place at the house.
Wedding guests were left screaming and looking for cover. It is unclear what the motive for the shooting was and the community are still in shock.

Last week a similar shooting incident took place in Mitchells Plain where a woman was killed and 3 children injured.
