Parents and guardians wanting to enroll children for Grades 1 and 8 next year have until midnight to do so.
The Gauteng Department of Education said applications for Phase 2 of the 2022 Online Admissions applications are still open for those needing to enroll.
GDE MEC Panyaza Lesufi said by Thursday, their system had recorded 250 450 applications made for Grade 1 and 30 409 applications made for Grade 8. This brings the total of successful Phase 2 applications to 280 859.
He said it was important to note that applications can still be made via www.gdeadmissions.gov.za.
“Parents are also reminded to upload their documents onto our system when applying, ensuring that each uploaded document is certified for schools to verify them accordingly,” he said
