October is Transport Month in South Africa and the morning team is going for the full experience.
Join them as they explore the transport system in the city.
Transport month is an initiative by the Department of Transport (DOT) and its entities.
It showcases transport infrastructure services in aviation; maritime; public transport and roads.
It is also a month used to raise awareness of the important role transport has in the economy.
The first stop for Thomas and Skhumba is Johannesburg Park Station.
Here they experience firsthand the challenges many commuters face daily.

Such as discovering that traveling from Johannesburg to Pretoria using the Metrorail is not an option.
The disappointment inspires the team to take the Gautrain to Rosebank instead.
At the Gautrain, the team debates the difference between commuters who have extra cash to spend on public transport and those who do not.
