ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba and the African Transformation Movement’s (ATM) Mzwanele Manyi butted heads in a heated Twar.
The fiery exchange happened after the Independent Electoral Commission omitted ActionSA’s name from the ballot paper and only used the party’s logo.
Blaming the party for not including an abbreviation, the IEC did not take responsibility for the error.
Expressing his grievances on Twitter, Herman Mashaba and Mzwanele Manyi got into a heated Twar, complete with personal jabs at each other.
“You couldn’t run a bath, let alone run an entire municipality!” Mashaba tweeted in response to Manyi.
How many by-laws have you implemented in your life?
ANN7 propaganda doesn’t count.
You couldn’t run a bath, let alone an entire municipality. https://t.co/tyg58ubZXC

In response, Manyi said, “If ActionSA can’t even fill in a form properly, why should it be trusted to implement Bylaws of the Municipalities? If you wanted the IEC to put your name in full, you should have put your name in full instead of saying N/A. The IEC is not your mentor.”
Things took an ugly turn when Manyi hit back that Mashaba failed as Mayor of Johannesburg because he was too busy posing for pictures.
The accident that parachuted you to be a Mayor, will not happen again.
City of Joburg is a mess because of you.
Instead of employing competent people to clean the streets you were busy with a broom yourself, posing for pictures. https://t.co/W9Alnbozw9— Mzwanele Manyi (@MzwaneleManyi) October 5, 2021
This isn’t the first time the two politicians exchanged words as Mashaba slammed Manyi last year for calling him a liar.
