A Mdantsane promoter has expressed his disappointment about Kabza De Small’s no-show in Mdantsane’s Piano Spring Fest on Friday.
The event which he says took him a month to promote ended up being cancelled and him having to tell all those who had bought tickets to go back where they bought them for a full refund.
Dj Jigga Wasemdantsane took to his Facebook page, to give a detailed back and forth he had with Kabza De Small ahead of his no-show, complaining that he’d lost so much money, disappointed many people and that his intention was just to uplift his community.

There were confirmations made
In the post he spoke about how everything was well organized and he had already negotiated with outlets that were selling the tickets.
“We have made all comfirmations for Accommodation for 4ppl, Flights for 4ppl, Hired a V Class, booked an Expensive Sound and Stage, hired fencing, did marketing whole month, made numerous negotiations with outlets for ticket sales and more.
The flight we booked for Kabza and his team had to be canceled early today due to a low number of passengers coming to East London….Yes he arrived early at the airport in JHB and we came with other suggestions and alternatives zokuba bathathe anye flight yenye airline.” he said.
Kabza refused to drive for 3 hours
Jigga also added that with the flight situation, there were alternative arrangements made that didn’t sit well with Kabza that involved him driving for 3 hours to get to the venue.
“There were flights available for Mthatha and PE and we suggested that sibathathele zona and Kabza was the only one that refused to board saying akafuni ku driver i 3hours yena.
Luckly safumana iflight eza emonti for1 passenger from another airline still Kabza akavumi uhamba yedwa without his team. HaiboThey had some argument with his manager wala kwaphela saying he can only fly ngomso to PE for other gigs. Worse part is that u camera man wakhe ulapha emonti ufike ngentseni.”
Kabza had also already confirmed on his instagram page that he was spending the whole weekend in the Eastern Cape.
