Tresor is in Motion on the Ultimate Kaya 959 Top 30

South African-based artist Tresor has reached a new height in his career and deserves a standing ovation for his impressive collaboration on Drake’s Certified Lover Boy.

After a volcanic eruption destroyed his home in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tresor Riziki searched for a fresh start in a new country and landed on SA shores.

Collaborating with Nigerian artist Tems, Tresor had the opportunity to write and produce one of Drake’s hit tracks of CLB, Fountains.

He shared with DJ Keyez that it was an experience of a lifetime to have been recognised by the international hip hop star, “Drake’s team Ovo Sound reached out and it was a very organic process. The music went back and forth until we nailed the final edit.”

“The song was done at our @Jacquelmusicgroup studios in Johannesburg with production contribution from one of our talents @Batundimusic. I started this company with a vision to take distinct African music to the world and it’s truly a great feeling to see the vision coming alive.”

Apart from his certified success on Fountains, the DRC national has a new single out featuring Da Capo and Sun-EL Musician titled, Lighthouse.

“Lighthouse is one of my favourite songs. It was missing something and I knew it needed the Sun-EL flare on it and that’s how Lighthouse was complete. It’s a celebration of life and I’m so excited for you all to hear it.”

His international influence has seen him work with one of the biggest American heavy-metal bands, Metallica, on an exclusive version of “Nothing Else Matters.”

Speaking about this project, Tresor said, “It was a project Universal Global set up a few months and it’s been such a blessing and honour to be a part of the band’s album. The response has been amazing.”

Apart from international projects, there’s also Makosa with Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa. Basically, Tresor is dominating every space within the music industry and delivering a unique, new-age sound with distinct lyrics that evoke emotions.

    • regulate, in harmony with international standards, the processing of personal information by public and private bodies in a manner that gives effect to the right to privacy subject to justifiable limitations that are aimed at protecting other rights and important interests,
    1. Definitions and Interpretation

    1.1.“Personal Information” means information relating to an identifiable, living, natural person and where it is applicable, identifiable, existing juristic person, including all information as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013. 

    1.2  Parliament assented to POPIA on 19 November 2013. The commencement date of section 1, Part A of Chapter 5, section 112 and section 113 was 11 April 2014. The commencement date of the other sections was 1 July 2020 (with the exception of section 110 and 114(4). The President of South Africa has proclaimed the POPI commencement date to be 1 July 2020.

     
    1.3. “Processing” means the creation, generation, communication, storage, destruction of personal information as more fully defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.  

    1.4. “You” or the “user” means any person who accesses and browses this website for any purpose. 

    1.4. “Website” means the website of the KAYA 959 at URL www.kaya959.co.za or such other URL as KAYA 959 may choose from time to time.
