The legal team of one of Zimbabwe’s opposition leaders Tendai Biti says the bail conditions on which he was released are almost oppressive
Lawyer Nqobizitha Mlilo says one of the conditions his client has to adhere to is reporting to police twice a day. Biti was released on 5,000 dollar bail by a court in Harare last week.

He was arrested after being handed over by Zambian police after that country refused him asylum. Biti is charged with sparking the violent demonstrations following delays in the announcement of presidential results in Zimbabwe.
Mlilo says their argument in court was that Biti’s arrest was unlawful.
