This Wednesday was a #WomenCrushWednesday celebration of Modiselle sisterhood on Midday Joy with Unathi, when the ladies co-hosted the show. Not only was it 3-hours of raucous laughter, joy and positive vibes both on-air and off-air, the energy and dance lessons made for a Wednesday well spent.
With time flying past, Midday Joy listeners shared their love for the sisters who have such an incredible bond and evoke a strong sense of family.
The Modiselle sisters, Bontle, Refilwe and Candice are talented South African actresses, media personalities and celebrities.
Speaking to Unathi, the sisters spoke about how they are not just connected by blood but touched on the soul connection they share not just with each other but with their mom too. The Modiselle sisterhood is one that is about empowerment and support.
The trio are very protective of their family and while many would jump at the opportunity to put their lives on display in the form of a reality show, the sisters have no intention of being SA’s version of the Kardashians.

Bontle
Married to Ricardo Moloi known as Priddy Ugly, Bontle and the rapper have a beautiful baby girl, Afrika Bonita Lerato Moloi. Bontle had previously spoken about suffering 2 miscarriages before falling pregnant with her rainbow baby. The couple have been together since 2009 and were married in September 2019.
At 30 Bontle has already earned an Africa Movie Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the dance film Hear Me Move.
Candice
Breaking into the media industry as a TV presenter on YOTV, the 26-year old has already conquered other facets of the entertainment world having been on radio and making a name for herself as an actress.
With a Bachelor’s Degree and Honours Degree in Dramatic Arts at the University of the Witwatersrand, Candice is more than just a pretty face and her bubbly personality and never say never attitude makes her a formidable force in the industry.
Refilwe
The eldest of the trio, the 35-year old made a name for herself being the first South African model with albinism. She started modelling at the age of 13 when she was approached by Y! Magazine.
The actress who played the lead in White Gold an international short film about albinism has graced the covers of a multitude of both international and local magazines.
