Nelson Mandela’s granddaughter Zoleka Mandela says things have taken a turn for the worse since the passing of her mom and grandparents.
Zoleka shared the devastating state that the Mandela family is in following the death of her mother last year July.
She says the family is at war with one another and lives have also been threatened by family members.
The 41-year-old added that “there’s pure hate and evil among us”.
The writer and activist was responding to social media users who tagged her in a post showing a man who is believed to be a relative of the Mandelas.
Photos of the man, who is a Nelson Mandela doppelgänger, have been doing their round on social media.
The man was spotted in Maboloka in North West. He expressed that he would love to go to Qunu to visit the Mandela family as he believes they are his relatives.
Zoleka said as a result of her family feuds, she doesn’t think it is a good idea to encourage the man to be part of her family.
“My family is at war with one another, why encourage the man to be part of a family that does not even want, respect, love or recognise it’s own bloodline?” she wrote on Instagram.
