Maybe Nota will back off after a dealership confirms that, yes the McLaren belongs to Cassper Nyovest.
Ever since Cassper shared his new supercar on his social media, Nota has been sour saying, suggesting Cas is showing off “rented” wheels.
Nota says that even Cassper’s Rolls Royce is rented and that his latest ride, a 2020 McLaren GT is either a rental or sponsored as part of an ambassadorship.
Singling out the luxury Daytona dealership in a tweet, Nota said that other South African celebrities, Euphonik and Black Coffee also get cars they can make use of.
This doesn’t mean the cars are actually owned by any of them.
Nota says Cassper was merely doing promotional work for the dealership.
The dealership has however confirmed that the McLaren is in fact with it’s rightful owner, tagging Cassper Nyovest in the post.
Captioning the confirmation, “SOLD.” The dealership shares the picture Cassper shared of his McLaren in Cape Town in December.
The car is estimated at around R3.5 million and is finished in a special Silica White paint.
It features a Bowers and Wilkins Audio System, MSO Bright Pack and Electrochromic roof.
Cassper laughed off Nota’s swipes that he owns none of the cars in his fleet, saying “Next they’ll say I’m a Rolex ambassador because I keep buying them for my friends and family.”
Cassper is the first South African to own the new McLaren GT.
