Somizi has shared a message of empowerment to women of all shapes and sizes. The media personality who was recently in Namibia on his cookbook tour, noticed that more voluptuous women are owning the bodies they’re in.
“I have to talk about these beautiful women. Ladies, don’t stop! Own it! I see these women on TikTok and despite all the criticism these women are owning the bodies they’re in. YASS! The body only happens once!” Somizi exclaimed.
His stressed the importance for women to send a message not just for themselves but for kids who are bullied.
He spoke about the confidence women on social media have, not only are they rocking skin tight clothing but they’re unafraid to take on the dance challenges that go viral.
“I’m signing up for that content. I saw a woman in a tight blue dress and heels. Her confidence oozed and just when I thought that was it, no she danced. YASS! Own it girls!”
His message of empowerment was encouraged by many of his followers who all agreed that body shaming needs to stop.
He said that there’s a misconception that “bigger” people aren’t concerned about their health and aren’t doing anything about it.
The former Idols SA judge and radio host also shared that he is struggling through the month of October sober.
“I’m on day 9 of Ocsober. I decided to go sober for the month of October. Wish me luck. It is hard!” Somizi shared with his followers.
Well-known for his love of French champagne, Somizi is now substituting his love for the finest bubbly with sugary drinks.
