Msaki recently joined My Top 10 at 10 with Tbose. In the interview she spoke about all things music and finding her voice.
Msaki, whose real name is Asanda Lusaseni Mvana, is a South African singer and songwriter.
South Africans have witnessed her incredible rise in the music industry, with her unique combination of soulful folk with symphonic movements, Xhosa lyrics, and African poly-rhythms.
In the conversation she chats about her new double album release anticipated for the second half of this year.
“I made two albums by mistake, one is actually carrying on with my own sound, with lots of instruments, the band and a lot of the things I hear, strings as an emotional part of it, also as an answer to me as a vocalist. Because I had so many of these collaborations, some of the artists knew I was working on an album and asked if they could be involved and sent me stuff.”
