AKA drops his new album alongside Costa Titch and the collaboration has everyone’s attention. Sharing snippets on his social media, Kiernan Forbes better known as his stage name AKA, pinned the track Sugar as the biggest on the album.
“This song is a big one. This one…this is a big fish,” AKA described the track as his next hit.
With a successful solo career thus far, the rapper has roped in fellow SA artist Costa Titch on an 8-track album that is said to be all-around high energy. Costa Titch is a Nelspruit born artist who made a name for himself as a dancer with the New Age Steez crew before he branched out to tackle the music space.
After an L.A-based influencer played his 2017 track Activate he gained some exposure and collaborated with local artists such as J. Molley, PatricKxxLee and others. His debut album Made In Africa in 2020 was a trap-inspired style that spoke to his personality, a South African with one foot in international waters.
The music video for Super Soft was released on 8 September and the duo have been busy with press interviews for the promotion of the album.
Last month AKA shared a touching tribute to his late fiancé Anele Tembe, who fell to her death from a Cape Town hotel in April. He took some time off social media and from all public engagements to mourn her death.
The rapper was replaced on The Braai Show by Cassper Nyovest but seems to be focusing all his energy into his album with Costa Titch.
