Zoleka Mandela has received prayers of recovery from her followers after being hospitalised and awaiting more chemotherapy since Saturday.
The activist and author who has previously beat breast cancer twice, shared with Phemelo Motene on Point of View in April, that her cancer returned with full force in 2022.
Since then, Zoleka has been undergoing intense radiation treatments to her brain, which has had a number of side effects.
Through it all, Zoleka is still optimistic that she will soon be back home with her kids.
Zoleka is currently receiving radiation to her spine and pelvis and awaiting more chemotherapy treatments for the progression of cancer in her body.
“It’s going to be a long haul, but so appreciative of the efforts made towards the betterment of my health, by the medical team and medical staff. I can’t wait to get back home to the kids. Peace. Passion. Positivity.”

Prayers of recovery and messages of positivity flooded Zoleka’s Instagram post.
“Healing upon you..with God there is nothing impossible Zo..believe that what you ask of God you have received and it’ll be yours.”
“God is timeless and limitless, he is the healer. Healing prayers to you.”
“Praying for you to get more strength to go through this patch. I can imagine how much you miss your babies. Sending you and your babies love, hugs, strength and prayers.”
The granddaughter of the late former President, Nelson Mandela was first diagnosed with cancer in 2012, at the age of 32.
Zoleka suspected something was wrong when she had given birth to her son Zinawe, who only survived two days without breastfeeding because he was in neonatal ICU.
Doctors gave Zoleka something to stop her producing milk and after her initial shock at the news, Zoleka knew she had to fight her cancer.
