WATCH: SA conductor Ofentse Pitse shines at a CHANEL event.
Ofentse Pitse, who is the first black South African woman to own and conduct an all-black orchestra, was recently asked to orchestrate at an exclusive Chanel event.
Pitse who is a visionary artist is also a founding member of Anchored Sound, the first orchestra in Africa that is entirely black owned and run.
A 25-person choir and a stunning 40-piece orchestra, both from marginalized areas in Gauteng, make up Anchored Sound.

Pitse shared video of the experience on her social media.

Pitse made so many South Africans proud when she appeared on Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
In May, Netflix released a music video in which Shondaland and Alicia Keys created a 74-piece global orchestra made up entirely of women of colour to perform the stunning rendition.
The song If I Ain’t Got You is performed by Alicia Keys in the video with Pitse leading the orchestra.
