Kaya 959 radio host, Unathi Nkayi, is taking a stand against online bullies.
The ‘Brave, True and Strong’ star has endured years of bullying from random people on the internet. But she has decided enough is enough.
She put a cyberbully on blast after he mocked her appearance by sharing a picture of her with and without makeup.
The man suggested that she was only beautiful because she had money.
Not only did Unathi share a screenshot of the offensive post but she also tagged him.
“Tomorrow it may be someone else BUT today he woke up and decided he’s going to HUMILIATE me. I thought I’d give him what he wants ATTENTION,” Unathi wrote.

‘I was actually very sick’
The picture the man shared for the comparison is one that went viral in 2014. The image trended on Twitter at the time, with many internet trolls boldly declaring that Unathi looked “ugly”.
Unathi revealed in her latest post that she was not feeling well when the picture was taken.
“I was actually very sick here and the journalist forced me for a picture,” she wrote.
Despite feeling sick and not wearing any makeup, Unathi took pictures with some of her fans.
“I’m not going to say no to a fan who wants a photo, just because I’m not wearing make-up,” she said in 2014.
Unathi’s advice on how to be comfortable in your own skin
Unathi recently opened up about how she grew her confidence.
“I wasn’t confident in myself and quite frankly didn’t believe I deserved it. Years later I can only attest my confidence in both those fears to learnt behaviour,” she wrote.
Unathi added that she believes we can all learn to be more confident.
“I believe that confidence is built, not something we are born with or can all assume to possess.
“When embarking on a new journey, the uncertainty can make one feel vulnerable and doubtful. Yet through practice, repetition and habit, familiarity is created and confidence built to complete whatever task is at hand.”
Tune in to ‘Midday Joy with Unathi’ every Monday to Thursday from 12:00 – 15:00.
