Tshepi Vundla doesn’t understand people’s ‘obsession’ with her marital status

By Tamlyn Canham

Tshepi Vundla is tired of people asking why she is not married. The influencer has been dating rapper JR for several years. They met at a house party nearly ten years ago.

The power couple have a three-year-old son named Siba together. Despite the pair being happy in love, social media users can’t stop asking Tshepi when they will be tying the knot.

“The weird obsession with me being married or not is rather annoying. Get off my d**k!” she tweeted.

Tshepi’s followers agreed, with some saying people need to just mind their business.

“It’s actually nonsense! I see it every time when you do a QnA. ‘Tshepi are you married?’… ‘Tshepi when are you getting married?’ People must rest honestly,” one Twitter user wrote.

Vat ’n sit

JR described his relationship with Tshepi as a ‘vat ‘n sit’ situation. He made the comments during a recent interview on ‘Podcast and Chill’ with MacG.

‘Vat ‘n sit’ describes people who are living together but are not married.

JR corrected MacG when he described Tshepi as the rapper’s wife.

“I need to clarify she is not my wife yet. I think it’s very easy for guys to start dating someone for a couple of years and then start calling them their wife. My brother having a wife is something else,” he said.

Mac G then described their relationship as ‘vat ‘n sit’. JR agreed.

“Yeah, it’s vat ‘n sit, you know. It’s a loving relationship… it’s a family.”

Tshepi does not appear to have a problem with their ‘vat ‘n sit’ relationship. She can’t stop singing JR’s praises.

Tshepi calls him the love of her life.

“Thank you for being the partner that you are to me, thank you for being the amazing father to our son, thank you for being a constant inspiration, thank you for always pushing me & thank you for loving me,” she wrote in one post.
