Trevor Noah took to The Daily Show and hit back at US podcast host Joe Rogan and Jordan Peterson over their clueless comments about black people.
The podcaster and his guest went into a tirade about the “whole race” issue in America and by their definition, ironed out that there is no such thing as black and white in terms of skin colour.
“I’m not white, I’m tan!” Jordan Peterson exclaimed.
Joe Rogan then went on to say that, “Unless a person is like ‘sharpie’ black, and come from the darkest part of Africa where ‘they’ wear no clothes and have developed all that melanin to protect themselves from the sun, you’re not black.”
The talk show host who is known for his punchy and sarcastic rhetoric, looked shocked after the podcast clip aired live on his show.
He then proceeded to look at his hands, as if for the first time.
“OMG! I’m not black! I’m not black!” Trevor laughed.
“Joe Rogan’s right! I’m like a Caramel Mocha Frappuccino. This changes everything… This changes everything!”

The comedian then darts off-screen with police sirens blaring in the background and comes back on-screen a few seconds later to proclaim, “the police say I’m black!”
To answer Joe Rogan, Trevor explained, “Black people didn’t call themselves black, do you understand that? It’s not like Black people were like, ‘We’re Black.’ No. In Africa, we have tribes. We have cultures. Zulu. Xhosa. Baganda. Igbo. Wakandans!”
Noah’s response was laced with sarcasm
“But then white people got there, and they were like, ‘Wow. There’s a lot of Black people here. A lot of Black people.’ Then in America, they invented a rule that if you had one drop of Black blood in you, that makes you Black—which defined how you were treated by the government and by society.”
Noah has often spoken about racial issues in his stand-up comedy routines.
