The bodies of the three ArcelorMittal workers trapped underground following an explosion at the plant have been located.
The National Union of Metalworkers South Africa is deeply saddened by the workers passing.

During a meeting, yesterday unions put pressure on the company to intensify the search operations and to seek help from mine companies.
The three missing ArcelorMittal employees were found by fellow workers who risked their lives to find their colleagues.
ArcelorMittal has been at loggerheads with NUMSA over their negligent treatment of employees for years.
NUMSA is calling on the Department of Labour to embark on a detailed investigation into the cause of the incident at the Vanderbilpark plant.
