Trust is one quality that’s very hard to come by. The point of building trust is for others to believe what you say.
You cannot have a healthy relationship without it. And yet, virtually all of us can bring to mind a scenario where our trust has been broken.
Building trust is not without risk. It involves allowing both you and others taking risks to prove trustworthiness.
It’s even more important in the workplace. Ken Blanchard, co-author of The One Minute Manager and Trust Works! once said “Without trust, people give up on relationships and leave organizations, cynicism reigns, progress grinds to a halt, and self-interest trumps the common good,”
