Throughout the country, there is always a demand for accommodation, and renting is in most cases is the most ideal way to go.
Whether you are a low-end worker, weekly wage-earner, casual worker or an intern you’ve probably had a unique experience with your landlord.
In certain instances, you have probably experience behaviours that were not normal and had to go with the flow because your landlord was putting a roof over your head.
Thomas and Skhumba asked Kaya 959 listeners to share some of those out of the ordinary stories of their landlords, who are also known as ‘uMastandi’.
Some of the listeners shared their stories with the team.
‘My landlord was spying on me’
One listener shared how when she would return from the shops with her groceries her landlord would go to her and ask for sugar.
When she said she didn’t have any, the landlord would say they saw her walking in with groceries.
