Eight people were confirmed dead at a Travis Scott concert on Friday in Houston.
A surge from the crowd of 50 000 people sparked the chaos, leaving security and medical personnel overwhelmed.
A concertgoer revealed to CNN that he could not breathe during the surge. “It was going on for over two hours I mean, it just got worse and worse. Everyone was like… you just can’t breathe,” he said.
Following the horrific event, Travis Scott issued a statement.

Following the unfortunate recent turn of events, would you be comfortable with your kids going to a big concert?
Kaya 959 listeners shared their thoughts on The Morning Show with Thomas and Skhumba.
“I will never let that happen. I waited for my 9-year-old at a party until the party was over. I’m not ready to be a grandparent,” said a concerned parent.
JJ from the morning team said that her mom was overprotective.
“My mom is overprotective. The only time my sister was allowed to go out to a concert was when she had entered a singing competition,” she shared.

In 2019, my wife & I went with our 2 kids to attend Nasty-C. I also still am very protective. It’s not them; but the SA we live in that makes me nervous…— FRANCIS MOLETSANE 🇿🇦🇿🇦 (@Mokanye14) November 8, 2021
