There are a lot of people who do things or offer services that we take for granted and should be appreciated more.
In The Morning with Thomas And Skhumba listeners were asked to share industries/professions they think should have a service tip:
Petrol Attendants
Many Kaya 959 listeners agree that petrol attendants deserve to be tipped. Not only do they lighten our moods, but they always offer greater service.
Chefs
A listener reveals that she tips the chef whenever she can as they are responsible for preparing the food we eat.
Taxi Drivers
A woman believes taxi drivers should get tipped – well, the nicer ones. “I think we should tip taxi drivers. The ones who wait for you to sit down first before driving off.”
Educators
“Teachers need to get tipped. We need to give our children R5 in the mornings to go and tip them for doing such an excellent job,” a listener shares.
Car guards
“The guys that I always tip are the car guards and the guys selling at the robots, even if I don’t have money,” shares Lesego from Brits, Pretoria North.
Xolani says tipping shouldn’t only be limited to money. “Everyone who offers you a service deserves a tip. It doesn’t even have to be money but a tip,” he shares.
“When my son was born, I sent an e-mail to the CEO of the hospital and he went to that lady with a permanent hospital.”
