Last week, Rand Water announced that there would be 54 hours of water outage this week in certain areas due to a maintenance project.
This morning marked exactly 54-hours since the water shortage forewarned last week.
The Morning Show team asked Kaya FM listeners to share how the maintenance project affected them.
“How have the past two days been water-wise in your area?” Asked Thomas.
Pretty from Roodepoort said that they didn’t experience any outages in her area.
“There was water; everything was normal. On Friday, I filled up buckets and buckets of water. I don’t know what I’m going to be doing about the water,” she said.
Another listener revealed that they’ve had running water over the curse of the week, and now she doesn’t know what she’ll be doing with the water she’s stored.

#ThomasAndSkhumba I think water people are better than those if electricity. I can’t believe now they call it load reduction, what level is this from load shedding?🤔
