Today, 27 October, marks the birthday of fallen South African anti-apartheid leader, Oliver Tambo. To commemorate the day and continue creating awareness around transport month, Thomas and Skhumba broadcast live from OR Tambo International Airport.
In the first hour of the Morning Show, Kaya listeners were asked – “where would they go if they received two tickets to one of South Africa’s holiday destinations?”
Check out five popular South African holiday destinations
Cape Town is one of the most spectacular cities in the world. In 2014, it was named the best place to visit in the world by The New York Times. The city’s attractions include Table Mountain, Clifton and Camps Bay Beaches, the V&A Waterfront and more.
During the festive season, the city of Durban becomes one of the busiest in the country as thousands flock to the area for its attractions – mainly the beach.
