Edgar Mfaba (Edsoul) and Hlalefang Nomganga (Fang DaRhythm), of The Rhythm Sessions, are proud to announce their debut album titled “Music is Love” officially drops on 25th August 2017 on all digital platforms.
Some background…
There is no doubt that the duo has had a great musical journey. Prior to 2008, Edsoul and Fang DaRhythm were just ordinary local deejays that had passion & love in Sound Engineering. Eight years later, the passion, dedication and commitment to the music made them form South Africa’s next rising music brand: The Rhythm Sessions.
Their art of mixing music and creating new music has always fascinated the duo. They are also the only deejays in SA to play using Isolators. The Rhythm Sessions calls for South Africans across the globe to be part of their musical journey as it continues to grow. Edsoul’s and Fang DaRhythm’s Boston Media House qualifications in sound engineering and radio have indeed helped the duo build a solid foundation in the radio industry. They are part of the Kaya 959 family as part of Sound Supreme from 14:00 – 18:00 every Saturday.
About ‘Music Is Love’…
“Touching You” is the first track on the album, which is set to be one of the most requested and loved songs off the upcoming album and has been exclusively playlisted on Kaya 959 for the past three months. Traxsource has listed the track in the top 100 list for 2016. Leading up to this point, The Rhythm Sessions have had their music remixed by Grammy Award winning DJ, Louie Vega, released on Vega records and have graced event stages featuring house music heavyweights. Their debut album features an array of superstars. Their ‘No Love’ single, which features Wanda Baloyi, has been doing well on iTunes. Other features include Portia Monique and Geroge Biza.
Talking about their upcoming album the duo says “Music is an art form and our mission is to tap into a market that exists but has not been explored to its full potential. Our mission is to expose people to good music.”
The official anticipated album launch event, which will feature a line up of artists the duo have collaborated with on the album along with an exclusive performance by The Rhythm sessions, will be hosted on 2 September 2017 at Mesh Members Club.
“Music is Love” will be released on all digital platforms as well as the official The Rhythm Sessions website.
