What happens when you find out you are not the father of your child? Well, this is a dilemma a Kaya 959 listener finds himself in after he underwent a paternity test that revealed his worst nightmare.
Anonymous is thinking of simply packing up his things and leaving without saying a word. He reached out to The Best T In the City to get a different perspective on how he should handle this complicated situation
“After a few months of dating, my girlfriend told me she was pregnant. Now looking at how far along she was when she told me things seemed off. According to my calculations, it can’t be mine as we’ve only been negligent once. I didn’t question her, and I was there for her every step of the way. My family accepted and we did pay the damages. The baby was born, and I still couldn’t shake that this was not mine. The baby turned one in May, and I decided to get a DNA test done without my girlfriend’s knowledge as per my doubts.”
“The results came back negative, this is Not my child. Although I suspected it, seeing it in black and white really cut me deep. I have not said anything to my girlfriend. However, she can see that I am not myself. This thing is eating me up inside and I don’t know how to address it. I can feel myself lose my mind with each passing day. I don’t want to do anything I will regret. I have been thinking of leaving GP to go start afresh in a new province.”
“I plan to pack and leave without saying a word. The only people I will speak to are my family as they deserve the truth but as for my girlfriend, disappearing on her will help avoid more lies. Is this a cowardly move? What could be my blind spot? – Anonymous”
