You may have not realized it when it was happening but love-bombing is a real thing that some people use to get their way.
Love bombing is a type of emotional and psychological abuse in which someone goes above and above for you to coerce you into a romantic relationship. This involves your occasional overly praising and flattering, excessive expression of their affection, and those deep and early discussions regarding your shared future.
Andy asked: “Have you ever been love-bombed? Here’s the thing, love bombing may be different for everyone, however, the undertones are similar… the love is over the top, it’s the date nights that are excessive, it’s gifts on gifts and gifts. They also go as far as stamping down a commitment, so you feel like they are rushing but they are showing me love. Then you fall in love, then you commit, and the rom-com turns into a horror movie. Then the switch-up happens, at a time when you are emotionally vulnerable.
