This past weekend was a tough one for football fans as two great managers announced their decisions to leave their respective clubs at the end of the current football season.
Following Jurgen Klopp’s announcement to leave Liverpool, following a successful nine-year tenure at the helm of Liverpool, Barcelona manager Xavi also revealed that he would be leaving the Spanish giants.
Following his site’s defeat against Villareal, Xavi Hernández informed Club President Joan Laporta, sporting vice president Rafa Yuest, and Director of Football Deco of his decision to leave his post as first-team coach at the end of the season.
One of his main reasons for leaving Barca was his love for the club. “I don’t want to be a problem. I want to be a solution for Barça as I was two years ago.”
The coach believes his departure at the end of the season “takes the tension out of the situation and gives the dressing room, the staff, and the club a bit of room to change the dynamic.”
