Lepasa was notably absent from the Buccaneers’ pre-season tour of Spain, a clear indication of the impending separation. During his time with Pirates, the forward endured three separate loan spells – at Stellenbosch FC, TS Galaxy, and SuperSport United – as he sought consistent playing time.
Overall, he netted 15 goals and provided two assists in 64 appearances for the Soweto giants, contributing to a remarkable haul of five domestic cup triumphs.
Lepasa’s final season with the club, 2024/25, saw him sidelined entirely due to a long-term injury. Now, as he embarks on a new chapter, his immediate focus will undoubtedly be on regaining full fitness and kickstarting his career.
Lepasa has already been named in the provisional squad for the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN). The tournament is set to commence with a challenging opener against Algeria on 5 August, offering Lepasa an early opportunity to showcase his recovery and prove his enduring quality.
