At just the age of 23-years-old, French forward Kylian Mbappe became the first-ever player to score a hat trick in a World Cup final.
Mbappe also became the first player to score a brace in the World Cup final. The last player to do so was Ronaldo Nazario in Brazil’s win over the French 20 years ago.
Mbappe also scored in the 2018 World Cup final. He’s now scored four goals in the World Cup final.
Kylian also beat Messi to the Golden boot by scoring eight goals in total.
Mbappe is only the second player to score a hat-trick in the World Cup final, the first player was Geoff Hurst with England against Germany in 1966.
Following their dramatic loss to Argentina, Mbappe posted that France will be back in four years time.
