Former Orlando Pirates captain Happy Jele recently opened up to FARPost about his future. Jele told the publication that at this point he is still training on his own and that he’s available to any team that requires his services.
The defender also opened up about adjusting to life outside of football. “I think so far is good. I’m trying to adjust on this outside football.
“It’s also teaching me how to deal with life when I decide to hang up my boots. So, it’s giving me channels to whatever I want to do.”
Happy Jele recently sat down for an interview on Prime Sports with Mahlatse. Throughout his illustrious career, Jele has been an exemplary figure on and off the field of play, leading his team to multiple titles.
Speaking about ill-discipline among South African football players, Jele highlighted that alcoholism remains a big problem.
“There are a lot of people who drink in football. Even the greatest players drink, but how do you drink? You either drink at the right time or you drink at the wrong time.”
