Master KG is one of a few South African stars who are earning dollars, euros, and pounds. The ‘Jerusalema’ hitmaker has been enjoying the fruits of his success by splashing out on some expensive clothing.
He took to Instagram to share pictures of a shopping spree he had at the Diesel store in Sandton.
Master KG forked out a whopping R27,999 for a jacket.
“I came back from tour with couple of euros and I went straight to Sandton @dieselsa to get some drip,” he wrote.

While many of his followers were happy to see him enjoying the Rand-Euro exchange, others questioned why he had to show the jacket’s price tag.
“Was it necessary to show us that 27k Price?” one user wrote.
Some Instagram users advised Master KG to spend his money wisely.
“I’m a huge fan and I love seeing you winning but I wanna see you buying businesses, properties, and non profits to help people.”
Another fan commented: “Wow this says a lot. Being humble is the best we can have.”
But one Instagram user believes Master KG did not pay for the jacket himself – even though he said he spent his Euros on the shopping spree.
“Lol I hope you guys understand that he is paid to do this and the clothes are probably part of the package.”
Global shows
Master KG is not the only one getting paycheques in foreign currencies. Nomcebo Zikode, who also features on ‘Jerusalema’, has been invited to perform in countries such as Switzerland.
She performed at a charity concert in Basel last month. Nomcebo will also be taking her ‘Jerusalema’ tour to North America in October.
“Thank u USA for the invite. See u soon,” the singer wrote on Instagram.
