“Does religion make us brave or weak? In our pursuit of life and success, does religion help us or limit us?” Tbose posed this question to Kaya 959’s listeners on The Best t in the City this morning.
Religion plays a very important role in every aspect of human life irrespective of the place and culture.
Manko says religion limits us. “I don’t know if it makes us weak, but it definitely limits us. Or me rather. You can’t live the way you want and it’s not always a bad thing but sometimes you just want to be in a moment,” he expresses.
Jules does not believe he would’ve made it through were it not for his faith.
“The journey of my life and how far I’ve come and I sometimes wonder how I made it through those forces. Believe me, there is a God because the people he created and I met along the way, helped lifted me up. The story of my life makes me believe,” he shares.

Religious principles are helpful in teaching about life and attaining success, I'm not sure if religious practices like praying help since that's not my experience#DoesReligionMakeUsWeak

3 TSpoons on Why Religion:
Religion serves as a moral compass – we can tell what is wrong or right, however, religion guides us to follow and respect values and do the right thing. Indirectly religion is keeping law and order by making people who follow it do what they are taught in religious books. Even in debatable instances, religion acts as the final verdict on whether something is wrong or right and also helps us live with each other in harmony by doing the right thing.
Raises self-esteem – People who are religious have higher self-esteem and better psychological adjustment than people who aren’t, But this religious benefit only holds for people living in countries where religion is widespread and important.
Gives Good Motivation Towards Life: A religious person, with a firm belief, hardly lacks motivation and emotional support even in the worst moments of their lives because they know that they are under the protection of a higher power. With strong faith, it is not difficult to find solutions to everyday problems.
