There’s an art to creating art at the Met Gala and Rihanna has it down to a ‘T’! The Barbadian beauty queen shut down the red carpet at this year’s Met Gala with her effortless mix of 2 decades of American fashion.
Inspired by the sultry style of the 1920s and 1990s, Rihanna pulled off her Met Gala look serving a perfectly put together ‘Fenty face’. Borrowing from the ’20s classic pin-up style with a delicate BVLGARI headpiece and the ’90s hip hop street fashion from Tupac’s era, the Fenty and Savage businesswoman looked iconic.
The ‘Work Work Work’ singer doesn’t disappoint on the red carpet at the gala and has for years given fans some of the best fashion statements. Keeping to this year’s theme, America’s Independence Rihanna brought the drama in a black Balenciaga gown/oversized jacket.
She was joined by her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky who wore a quilt-inspired look by ERL.
While her red carpet look was modest, in true Riri style she slipped into something sheer for an afterparty she hosted which had everyone who’s anyone marking the register.
